As July winds down and the Hall of Fame Game kicks off, we find ourselves at a funny little hinge in the year. The camps are winding down—water bottles long lost in the shuffle. One more ice pop, one more sunscreen-slathered day, and then we turn the page.

This week in particular, let’s take a moment for the small mercies of central air, familiar routines, and a chance to think clearly when the sidewalks outside are radiating heat like a stovetop. Getting outside during weeks like this may lend greater perspective to how fortunate we ar.

And just like that… football’s back. The Hall of Fame Game signals the annual time warp that brings us from training camp to turkey in the blink of an eye. The year is tilting toward Q4, whether we're ready or not.

Audial treat: Caamp’s first album—an acoustic reminder that sometimes short and sweet hits deeper than long and loud. It’s the perfect 30-minute backdrop to a morning coffee or a mid-afternoon reset.
